Welcome Leanne Reis, Prowess Project’s newest member of the Business Development team! Leanne just joined but has already hit the ground running and is keeping the entire team smiling. Her attitude is infectious, so for that reason alone, she’s made a huge difference “
See the interview with Leanne below.
1. Quick overview of professional background.
I am a talented multipotentialite with strong organizational, analytical, communication and networking skills. With over 20 years of experience in professional photography, administration, marketing, and customer service.
2. When you realized, “holy shit, Prowess is gonna change the world!”?
Prowess is changing the world! (Note from Ash, see what I mean about her attitude – it’s already happening!) Going through your application process was unlike any other experience I have had so far in my search for employment this last year. Once I completed your Bootcamp, I saw the unique and true values of my skillset beyond my career experience (volunteer roles and life experiences).
I also learned that there was a thriving community of other women just like me who were living out your mission statement. I was not alone in that desire of having a fulfilling career, contributing to my family’s financial goals, and being able to raise a family at the same time. There are companies out there that support this dynamic lifestyle.
3. What you hope to bring to the Prowess team/company/community?
My goal is to help educate every business I come in contact with about the opportunities that Prowess Project has to staff their unique employment needs. I am also very detail-oriented and I love a good challenge to organize and create support documents and flow charts to help streamline a workflow process! I enjoy sharing and collaborating with online communities that share similar passions and I excited to be able to be a supportive contributor to the online community at Prowess Project.
4. What do you like to do outside of Prowess?
My family and I love to travel and explore national parks in our cute and unique Hymer trailer @hazelhymer. In our free time, you can find us on long adventurous hikes, rock climbing, and creating yummy meals in our dutch ovens while traveling to remote off-the-grid places. At home, I love to garden, cook, and I enjoy volunteering for my children’s scouting troops and at our local community theater.
5. Life mantra/saying you live by/anything else you’d like to share.
I asked my teenagers this question, I know I can count on them for an honest reply. They said a saying I live by is “Shit Happens”. As a child, my father had this quote engraved on an old window from his truck that was totaled in a car accident. I now have it displayed outside my office window on a table with beautiful succulents. I admire it every day. It’s a reminder to just move on, focus on the positive and let go of the negative.
